seedkeeping:

My friend, urban grower, and seed penpal in Los Angeles, Blair Williams, sent me this note with some Baobab seeds sleeping in their chalky pith (which is used to make insect repellent, to treat malaria, to smoke fish, to brew alcoholic drinks). This largest succulent in the world can be grown as a bonsai, but if I have success with the seeds I’ll probably relocate it somewhere much warmer where it can grow into a tall tree. #baobab #baobabseeds #plantnerd
